May 24-28, 2017

Spring is an incredibly special time in Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National park. Jackson Hole Wyoming our base for exploring the photo opportunities of the majestic Teton's. Here you will photograph not only the common spots of this great location but some of the many lesser known places Jess has found through his many years of shooting Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park.

While the majestic Teton range is the star of the show in Jackson, there will be many times to photograph, Elk, Bison, Deer, Moose and Pronghorn babies foraging in the newly green flowering meadows and forest. Grizzly and Black Bear, Wolves and Coyotes will be hunting to feed there own growing young.

The itinerary will include meeting the afternoon of May 24th for a brief orientation and introductions before heading out for our first afternoon of photography and field instruction with a backdrop of the towering Teton's. The next 4 mornings we will leave Jackson well before dawn to set up in time for our sunrise shooting. Our exact daily location will vary depending on conditions, but these will be long exciting days with opportunities to photograph subjects as varied as great mountain vistas, wildflowers, historic buildings and newborn mammals. Hiking will be limited to short hikes. The weather can here be variable any time of the year but generally the temps will be in the 30's in the morning warming into the 60's and 70's mid-day. Light rain or snow is possible but severe weather is uncommon.
